Life Happens

"A few times, life happened and I stopped writing. But I held fast to the belief that time can be reclaimed. That because the time I devoted to others was exactly what I needed to do (with zero regrets). . .

"Over time I grew as a person, which in turn, helped me grow as a writer. I returned to the page with new insights and experiences."

Combat Writer's Block

"When I get writer’s block, I think it’s my subconscious telling me there’s a horrible problem somewhere in the story and I have to fix it before I can go on. So I start by asking myself where it was that I stopped enjoying the story."

Rejection vs Dejection

I received a very encouraging rejection in my mailbox yesterday afternoon.

A busy editor took the time to write this
at the bottom of my rejection letter. God bless her!

And just in case your rejection letter was a bit less personal, consider these words from Cathy C. Hall.*

"Don’t let a rejection (or even a stack of rejections) undermine all your hard work. Keep submitting."
Thanks, Cathy.
