Happy belated birthday,
Howard Pyle. And Happy 100th birthday to the
Delaware Art Museum! As a fan of Howard Pyle (and who is not?) I highly recommend a visit to the Delaware Art Museum. They have an outstanding collection of golden age illustrations. If you visit before September 9, you will also be able to view works of
Katharine Pyle, Howard's youngest sister. She was quite prolific as both author and illustrator in the children's book world. Don't miss the
exhibit opening June 23rd to celebrate the museum's centennial.
