ReplyDeleteWonderful poem. My son and I used to recite this poem as we were walking through the neighborhood. He learned a lot about cadence and rhythm. David Mc Cord was a wonderful author.
ReplyDeleteI used to love this poem when I was a little girl. I'm turning 52 soon and I still love it. I went to one of his book signings and he signed one of his books for me. It was so exciting to meet him. He was such a nice man and very kind.
