  1. I'm Swedish and grew up with Hans Christian Andersen! Did you know that the very popular new movie "Frozen" is based loosely on "The Snow Queen"? I'm betting you did, being so into children's books. Mine are 14 and 17 now, both boys, but we sure enjoyed his tales when they were young.

    1. I'm so happy you stopped by. I received a Hans Christian Anderson Compendium illustrated by Arthur Rackham when I was 10. That was the year I decided to become an illustrator. My favorite painting in that book was for "Little Ida's Flowers." And despite the differences, I enjoyed Frozen quite a bit. Thanks again.
