Use the #SLM17 on social media to raise awareness of the needs and services of your local school libraries.
Authors, illustrators...Why not make a donation?
- You can donate money or books.
- Offer to autograph library copies.
- Sponsor a fund-raiser or giveaway.
- Design a poster or a framed piece of art.
- Schedule an author or illustrator visit FOR FREE or do a presentation with the other members of your critique group.
- Stop in at your local school for a surprise lunch. Sign a few books. Answer a few questions.
Go to the American Library Association for more ideas and bookish booty.
And watch this space for upcoming events through out the month!
